So I was browsing through some of those fashion/food/photo/ImagirlwhoblogsabouteverythingandeverypictureItakeisdesaturatedandlooksvintage type blogs. You know the ones I’m talking about. Yeah, those.

This particular blog didn’t interest me, but I did see something on the right hand side of the blog that did. “Button Exchange” it proclaimed. This, as it seemed, was something I could get behind. I imagined diving into a pool of buttons, channeling my inner recession-hit Scrooge McDuck.

But no. Apparently this particular grad student is one of those bloggers. The ones who forgot that the nineties ended. This graphic did not live up to my expectations. There were no buttons to be had or exchanged. No, this “exchange” was just one of those God-awful link exchanges I thought Google had killed 15 years ago.

The worst part is is that a lot of these fashion-oriented blogs do this. The only thing is that they charge people for them and call them “sponsors,” but that’s a story for another day.

P.S. As if to add insult to injury, during this random link clicking, I found a design blogyes, a design blogthat uses Comic Sans.
